This conference will focus on the ongoing efforts of the Children’s Policy Councils of Alabama on both the county and state level. 

Last year, our county CPC members came together and discussed their challenges and were briefed on the new tools and resources designed to help them in their efforts.  Now as a state, we are ready to take our next steps.  Conference presenters will share ways they are making a difference in their areas, information on grant writing and successful community programs you can replicate. 

There will be CEU's offered through your attendance. Please make sure to select the one you need when you complete your registration.  

CEU’s Offered: 
Nursing (4.5 hours)
Juvenile Probation (4.5 hours)
Social Work (4.5 hours)
Certificate of Attendance (4.5 hours)

DAY OF INFORMATION

We are so excited about our upcoming conference on Friday, July 28th at the Renaissance Hotel and Conference Center in Montgomery.  Last year we had over 220 people from all over the state coming together to discuss the best ways we can help the children of our state.  Below you will find information to help you prepare for the day.

Attendees:

When you arrive at the venue, please park in the parking deck which can be accessed off of Bibb Street. Once in the deck, follow the signs and park on the side servicing the Conference Center.  After parking, you will follow the signs for the conference center.  Our registration tables will be outside of the Alabama C,D, & E ballrooms which are located directly across from the center.  There will be a light breakfast provided.  

Resource Fair Participants:

Please see the parking instructions above.

If you are attending the conference, please register and then proceed into the ballroom to set-up.  Your tables will be around the perimeter of the room and are on a first come first serve basis.  If you are not attending the conference, you may skip registration and go into the ballroom to set-up your table.

***Please note that all Resource Fair tables have to be set up by 8:00 am so as not to disturb the program and to allow attendees to visit booths***

At registration, please make sure and tell the volunteers that you are presenting.  They will give you instructions on where to go for your session and will walk you through the set-up process.

RESOURCE FAIR VENDOR INFORMATION

Last year, our Resource Fair was one of the most popular aspects of the conference. We are excited to make it even better this year! If you are interested in having a booth, please email evey@alabamchildrenfirst.com with your organization's information. Below is all of the information about participating as a vendor:

- Vendor booths will be set up along the perimeter of the main ballroom where all main sessions will be held (just like last year). This allows attendees to easily see all vendors and allows our vendors to be able to hear the presentations as well.
- Vendors must be set up by 8:00 am the morning of the conference and stay until 4:00 when the conference has concluded.
- Attendees will have multiple times to visit vendors’ booths: 8:00-9:00 during registration/breakfast, 10:15-11:00 during the Resource Fair, 12:00-12:45 during lunch, and 3:30-4:00 during CEU Pickup.
- We do ask that all vendors register on our website at www.alabamachildrenfirst.com/conference and pay the $35 registration fee for each person in the booth. This fee covers: your booth, parking, CEUs, breakfast, and lunch.

Please let us know if you have any other questions. Also, please confirm with evey@alabamachildrenfirst.com if you do intend to participate as a vendor by July 17th so we can make sure to reserve your space. Hope to see you there!

Registration closes Monday, July 17th.
**Please note, if you are trying to register multiple people using the same credit card you will need to wait at least 10 minutes between submitting registrations. Otherwise, it will think you are submitting it twice by mistake and will decline the second transaction. Please contact evey@alabamachildrenfirst.com if you have any other trouble.
