Registration is $35 per person and closes on July 26th.

*Purchase Orders are accepted. Please register by check for each person on the PO. There will be an invoice listed on your registration confirmation email.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Please join Alabama Children First and the Department of Early Childhood Education for the 4th Annual Children's Policy Conference!

Each year Children's Policy Council members and child advocates come together to discuss their challenges and how to take the next steps for Alabama's children. Now, we are poised to move forward in improving the lives of our state's children. Conference presenters will share how to gather the data, funding and resources needed for county programs. Also, there will be discussions regarding the 2020 Cenus, child mental well-being, foster children, and a special presentation from Governor Kay Ivey!

We look forward to seeing you August 2nd!

DAY OF INFORMATION

We are so excited about our upcoming conference on Friday, August 2nd at the Renaissance Hotel and Conference Center in Montgomery.  Last year we had almost 300 people from all over the state coming together to discuss the best ways we can help the children of our state.  Below you will find information to help you prepare for the day.

Attendees:

When you arrive at the venue, please park in the parking deck which can be accessed off of Bibb Street. Once in the deck, follow the signs and park on the side servicing the Conference Center.  After parking, you will follow the signs for the conference center.  Our registration tables will be outside of the Alabama C,D, & E ballrooms which are located directly across from the center.  There will be a light breakfast provided.  

Resource Fair Participants:

Please see the parking instructions above.

Please check-in and then proceed into the ballroom to set-up.  Your tables will be around the perimeter of the room and are on a first come first serve basis. 

***Please note that all Resource Fair tables must be set up by 8:00 am so as not to disturb the program and to allow attendees to visit booths***

At check-in, please make sure and tell the volunteers that you are presenting.  They will give you instructions on where to go for your session and will walk you through the set-up process.

There is a room block at a special conference rate of $119 + taxes/fees. Please reserve soon as space is limited and the reduced rate offer ends July 17th, 2018.

RESOURCE FAIR VENDOR INFORMATION

 Below is all of the information about participating as a vendor:

  • Booth setup opens at 7:00 am and tables are first come, first serve. Vendors must be set up by 8:00 am the morning of the conference and stay until 4:00 when the conference has concluded.

  • Vendor booths will be set up along the perimeter of the main ballroom where all main sessions will be held (just like past years). This allows attendees to easily see all vendors and allows our vendors to be able to hear the presentations as well.

  • Attendees will have multiple times to visit vendors’ booths: 8:00-9:00 during registration/breakfast, 10:00-10:45 during the Resource Fair, 12:00-12:45 during lunch, and 3:30-4:00 during CEU Pickup.

  • All vendors must register and pay the $35 registration fee for each person working the table. This fee covers: your booth, parking, CEUs, breakfast, and lunch.

  • ONLY FILL OUT THIS VENDOR FORM ONCE. Once this form is submitted you can register your other attendees using the general registration form, please.
